Characteristics
W. Nr. 1.8519 is an alloy steel for quenching and tempering, suitable for nitriding (surface hardness after nitriding up to 800 HV). The steel has limited weldability. It is supplied in the quenched and tempered condition with a hardness of 268–330 HB.
Suitability
Production of valves and fittings, crankshafts, and similar wear-loaded components up to a thickness of 100 mm.
